AJ and Zeynep – Pre wedding shoot

Cambridge Wedding and Lifestyle Portrait Photographer

Wandlebury Country Park

Somewhere back in my memory I recall the time when I made the decision to leave my full time job. I had the security of working for a company that you would find difficult to match, if at all possible. And somewhere during the last year, although I did not wish to admit it, there must have been a stage when I felt a little scared. Then I get to work with another wonderful couple like Anthony and Zeynep and it reminds me exactly why I did it. This has to be the best jobs ever!   Instantly they made me feel at ease with them as I hope they were with me. I soon went from the formality of using their full christian names to AJ and Z as they are affectionally known by their friends and family. I know people will say that it’s the occasion that makes all engaged and newly wed couples easy to get along with but I have heard from first hand experience that this is not always the case. Either I have been extremely lucky or I simply attract special couples!

AJ and Z are getting married on May 2nd 2015 and we had arranged to do their pre wedding shoot in Cambridge on a particular date in March. The idea of the pre wedding shoot is in preparation for the big day. It helps break down the nerves and allows the photographer and the couple to get to know each other. Some couples benefit from a little direction and posing techniques and some just how to look natural in front of the camera. But all of this becomes easy when there is a sprinkle of romance and a longing of togetherness. If that alone is a sign of longevity in a relationship then this couple have a very bright future ahead of them, this couple are meant to be!

We spent a wonderful, fun afternoon at Wandlebury Country Park in Cambridgeshire  http://www.cambridgeppf.org/places/wandlebury-country-park/ . Situated on the A1307 between Cambridge and Haverhill admission to the park is free and is open all year round. To help with the ongoing upkeep on the park there is a £3.00 charge for parking per vehicle per day. Certainly the best value car parking in the whole of Cambridge. Recognised as one of the best green spaces in the country, Wandlebury has won the prestigious Green Flag Award. With over eight miles of wonderful walks through mature woodland, meadows and grassland areas it is very easy to see why. Seven days, dusk to dawn, Wandlebury Country Park has much to offer including picnic areas, designated BBQ areas, viewpoints, disabled access through most of the park, visitor centre, toilets and onsite parking. I can imagine Wandlebury looking spectacular as the seasons change. Put it on your bucket list of places to visit in Cambridge this year.

Thank you Robert Slowley of Slowley Photography for helping me on the day. See you at the wedding !
