Rachael & Adam I Wedding Day I Headlam Hall
As a Cambridge Wedding Photographer it was a great honour to be asked to photograph Rachael & Adam’s wedding at Headlam Hall in Darlington. Days don’t come along like this often. I’m not sure even Rachael and Adam had expected it to be so perfect. One thing outside of everyone’s control is the weather but Rachael and Adam had no need to worry. Despite this being April the weather was glorious and the sun shone for a majority of the day. Rachael wanted to make sure that everything was going to be memorable for her guests and family. Rachael’s meticulous planning and the staff at Headlam Hall certainly made sure that no one went away feeling disappointed.
The boys managed a pre-wedding round of golf on the perfectly manicured course. The green set over rolling pastureland around the Hall gardens were the perfect setting for the mini tournament devised by Rachael’s dad. I’m no golfer but I thought it proved more challenging for some. The natural competitive streak was more than evident but it was the right thing to do although deservedly, to let the groom walk away with the trophy, the first of the day.
Adam’s second trophy of the day was his beautiful bride who had already begun the exciting bridal prep along with her attendants in the magnificent Lord Gainford Suite. An abundance of natural light flooding through its six, floor to ceiling windows bathed Rachael in beautiful glow. Leading from the elegant sitting room area is the main bedroom with stunning four poster bed. The spacious bathroom with its traditional slipper bath and walk in shower.
Rachael looked stunning her simple but elegant Enzoani gown. Looking as radiant as a bride should on her wedding day. Her Bridesmaids complementing the look wearing full length silver grey Grecian style dresses. The boys did not disappoint either in their stylish grey suits contrasting with Adam’s window pane check three piece Reiss suit.
The wonderful grounds and house presented themselves as the prefect backdrop for Rachael and Adam’s portrait session. The beautiful stone staircase and rolling lawns the perfect setting for the formal group shots.
Headlam Hall Wedding
Headlam Hall has to be amongst one of the most perfect wedding venues. Set in a picturesque countryside settings positioned in a small hamlet in lower Teesdale between Darlington and Barnard Castle in Durham, North East England. It makes for the perfect idyllic setting to celebrate your special occasion. Rachael and Adam entertained their guests in the stunning Coach House suite and partied late into the evening in the elegant ballroom. The stunning arched glass ceiling with antique crystal chandeliers added a taste of pure decadence!
